Meet Pete KJ on his book tour in April, May and June in Colorado’s Front Range!

On April 4, 2019, Pete KJ will launch his new book, Base Camp Denver: 101 Hikes in Colorado’s Front Range at the Boulder Bookstore at 1107 Pearl Street, Boulder, Colorado on April 4, 2019 from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. Drinks and gourmet hors d’oeuvres will be served. All are welcome. Award-winning caterer, A SPICE OF LIFE, will be crafting the gourmet hors d’oeuvres and the party will be on the second floor of this historic and storied book store on the Pearl Street Mall. ***A Voucher is required to attend this event.*** Vouchers are $5 and are good for $5 off Base Camp Denver: 101 Hikes in Colorado’s Front Range or a purchase the day of the event. Vouchers can be purchased now at the store, over the phone, (303-447-2074) or at the door. Boulder Book Store Readers Guild Members can reserve seats for any in-store event. On April 7, 2019, Pete KJ will lead a guided hike, location dependent upon the weather conditions.

On April 9, 2019, Pete KJ will be signing books and telling tall tales at the JAX Mercantile Outdoor Gear store in Fort Collins. The address is 1200 N. College Avenue, Fort Collins, Colorado.

On April 12, 2019, Pete KJ will be presenting “Preparing to Hike” at the Longmont Senior Center located at 910 Longs Peak Avenue in Longmont. More information is available at 303-651-8411

On April 13, 2019, the Jagged Mountain Brewing will be hosting a book signing for Pete KJ from 4:00 to 5:30 pm. The brewery is located at 1139 20th Street in Denver.

On April 18, 2019, Pete KJ will present a talk on “Preparing to Hike in the Front Range” and signing books from 6:30 to 8:00 at the Aurora Central Library in Auroa, Colorado. The library is located at 14949 E Alameda Pkwy in Auroa.

On April 23, 2019, Pete KJ will be signing books and sharing insider tips with students who are part of the College of Colorado Outdoors Program in Colorado Springs starting at Noon. A couple of hours later, Pete KJ will be signing books from 6:30 to 8:00 at the JAX Outdoor Gear store in Broomfield, Colorado. The store is located at 5005 W. 120th Avenue in Broomfield.

On April 25, 2019, Pete KJ will present a slide show about his favorite Front Range hikes and sign books at the Colfax location of the Tattered Cover from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. The store is located at 2526 East W Colfax Avenue in Denver.

On April 26, 2019, Pete KJ will be in Breckenridge for a book signing and discussion at the Mountain Outfitters store, located at 112 S Ridge Street in Breckenridge.

On May 3, 2019, Pete KJ will be presenting “Interesting Spring Hikes in the Front Range “ at the Longmont Senior Center located at 910 Longs Peak Avenue in Longmont. More information is available at 303-651-8411

On May 7, 2019, Pete KJ will be signing books from 6:30 to 8:00 at the JAX Mercantile Outdoor Gear store in Loveland, Colorado. The store is located at 950 E. Eisenhower Blvd. in Loveland.

On May 21, 2019, Pete KJ will be signing books from 6:30 to 8:00 at the JAX Mercantile Outdoor Gear store in Lafayette, Colorado. The store is located at 900 South Highway 287 in Layfaette, Colorado.

On Memorial Day 2019 weekend, join Pete KJ in Estes Park, on May 25th, where he will be signing books and giving insider tips at the MacDonald Bookstore from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Colorado Sierra Club Dozens of hikes every week.

Colorado Mountain Club (CMC) acts as a gateway to the mountains in Colorado for experts and novices and has been around for over a century — since 1912 to be exact. There are trips all year round — from snowshoeing, to mountaineering and even wildflower hikes led by native plant specialists — and also educational courses and CPR/AED classes. Membership for people under 30 years old are $30 annually and will connect you with 60,000 other members in Colorado.

Volunteers for Outdoor Colorado. There are hundreds of projects throughout the state at any given time that may include: trail construction and maintenance, invasive species management, gardening and planting and even historic preservation.

Meetup: Denver Outdoor Adventures There are dozens of Meetup groups focused on hiking in the Front Range. Here’s a list of them to get you started.

2017 Book Tour for Base Camp Las Vegas by Deborah Wall.
October 21st. Las Vegas Book Festival. Deborah Wall was a featured author at the Festival.

November 12th. 10:00 am to 3:00 pm in the Visitors Center at the Red Rock National Conservancy Area. Deborah will be signing copies of her book as part of the Southern Nevada Conservancy, Second Sunday, “Artists and Authors” event.

August 9th, 5:00 pm to 7:30 pm Book launch, talk and book signing for Deborah Wall’s “BASE CAMP LAS VEGAS: 101 HIKES IN THE SOUTHWEST” at the Large Conference Room in the Clark County Library located at 1401 E Flamingo Rd, Las Vegas, NV 89119. July 27th, 10 am to 11 am. Salt Lake City, Utah Deborah Wall will be signing copies of her new book, “BASE CAMP LAS VEGAS: 101 HIKES IN THE SOUTHWEST” at from 10 am to 11 am on July 27th at the IPG/PGW booth of the Outdoor Retailer Show in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Vegas Hikers is a local meet-up group.
